Waun Maenllwyd Wind Energy Hub (DNS CAS-02650-B0P0M9) \u2013 Launch of Pre-Application Consultation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Email from Belltown Power:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Belltown\u00a0Power intends to submit our proposals for the Waun Maenllwyd Wind Energy Hub to Planning and Environment Decisions Wales (PEDW) later this year. We are proposing to build and operate a wind energy hub consisting of six wind turbines, five with a maximum tip height of 200m and one with a tip height of 180m, together with associated equipment, infrastructure, access and ancillary works. The proposed development is located southeast of Llanddewi Brefi and northeast of Lampeter, with the turbines located in Ceredigion and most of the access track within Carmarthenshire.\u00a0A site location plan can be found on the project website, alongside all other draft application documents.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are also applying to deregister a small area of the access track from common land and provide the equivalent replacement land in exchange.  The grid connection would be via wooden poles to Lampeter; there are no new pylons proposed for this project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a successful non-statutory consultation in June 2023 with public exhibitions in Llanddewi Brefi and Lampeter, we are now undertaking a period of formal pre-application consultation on the draft proposals. As part of this consultation, the draft planning documents and more information about the project is now available on the website at www.waunmaenllwyd.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n
